IQ - Impact of QuantERA finale
After several months of publishing and promoting the ‘Impact of QuantERA’ materials, the IQ Action has reached its conclusion. The results of the competition were announced during the Strategic Conference: Impact of QuantERA 2016–2026, held in Basel on 28–29 September 2026.
We are pleased to announce that the Main Award was granted to the project QISS·ME – All-Silicon Quantum Key Distribution Circuits for Monolithic Datacenter Engines. The award was received by Florian Honz, Project Coordinator, who represented the project during the conference in Basel.
An additional distinction, the “Most Popular Video” Award, was granted to the project COMPHORT – Quantum Communications with Bright Solid-State Single-Photon Emitters at Room Temperature. The project received the highest number of reactions to its video among all submissions featured within the IQ Action.
The IQ Action was launched to highlight the achievements and impact of QuantERA-funded projects through engaging communication materials, including videos and success stories. The initiative has showcased the scientific excellence, innovation potential, and societal relevance of quantum research supported by the QuantERA network.
We would like to sincerely congratulate all winners and participants for their enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment. Their contributions have significantly strengthened the visibility of QuantERA projects and helped demonstrate the transformative potential of quantum technologies across Europe.
Together, we continue to build and promote the Impact of QuantERA.
