QuantERA marks its 10th anniversary with a dedicated ‘IQ’ action focused on scientific value brought by the Programme. As research projects are at the heart of QuantERA, our key objective is to show bold and innovative ideas put into action, but most importantly: the people behind them.
QuantERA-funded projects have been invited to prepare materials showing their research and its impact on quantum landscape. Publication of those materials will happen throughout the next months. IQ action finale is planned to take place during the QuantERA Strategic Conference in Switzerland (28-29th September 2026).
Key aspects of participation in IQ action:
- Target participants: QuantERA-funded research projects under Call 2021, Call 2023 and Call 2025 (results expected in May 2026).
- Format: the preferred type of material to be prepared is a short video (approximately 2 – 5 minutes). There is an option to choose different format (animation, recorded presentation, White Paper etc.). Materials should be understandable to the general public.
- Key aspects:
– Gender equality – we want to highlight the great role female researchers play in QuantERA and emphasise that ‘science has no gender’.
– Young researchers – quantum technology is the science of the future; therefore, we want to stress the importance of fresh ideas and new perspective coming from researchers at the beginning of their scientific journey.
– Widening participation – as transnational aspect of collaboration is one of the core fundaments of QuantERA, we hope to see how teams from different countries exchange knowledge, skills and work together, as a true synergy example.
- Benefits: through this action the participants will gain:
– Opportunity to show their Team and research they are working on,
– Increased visibility that helps the project absorb external knowledge, technologies, and practices through dialogue,
– Opportunity for publication of their promotional material via official QuantERA channels (website, social media, newsletter),
– Further promotion at QuantERA event in Switzerland via dedicated session,
– Special awards for best projects!
