QuantERA funds excellent international research projects in Quantum Technologies.
The main goal of the QuantERA programme is to finance cutting-edge international research projects. QuantERA answers the growing need for collaborative endeavours and the most effective common funding scheme in Europe. Our objective is to launch transnational Calls to develop synergy of European research in Quantum Technologies.
So far, Calls in 2017, 2019, 2021,2023 and 2025 have attracted almost 4006 research teams who submitted 822 proposals. As a result, QuantERA has funded 140 excellent international projects run by consortia of 740 national teams. The budget dedicated to funding of QT projects has already reached EUR 170 M, which includes cofunding (QuantERA I project in 2016 and QuantERA II project in 2020) from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 Research and Innovation Programme.
