Quantum Horizons Conference: Science – Policy – Society
TheQuantum Horizons Conference: Science – Policy – Society, organized by the QuantERA Consortium and the Polish Ministry of Science and Higher Education, in collaboration with the European Quantum Flagship, was held on 7 May 2025 in Gdańsk, Poland, under the Polish Presidency of the EU.
This event brought together distinguished guests from academia, industry, as well as national and European institutions—including officials from the European Commission—alongside representatives of research funding organisations and the Quantum Flagship.
The conference agenda facilitated discussions on the latest advancements in quantum science and technology, encourage knowledge exchange, and foster collaborations within the field.
It is a deeply immersive experience into the history and legacy of the Solidarity movement, a key driver of political transformation in Central and Eastern Europe. Divided into seven thematic rooms, it provides a multi-faceted exploration of pivotal events, from the birth of Solidarity during the 1980 Gdańsk Shipyard strike to the movement’s impact on the collapse of communism and the broader democratisation of Europe.
The intention to participate in the European Solidarity Centre Tour should be indicated in the main registration form. Participation is subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis. Further details regarding participation will be communicated at a later stage via email.
